About the course
The After-School Pottery Club gives children and young teens the opportunity to explore ceramics in a relaxed and supportive studio environment.
Guided projects are combined with time to develop their own ideas. Children learn the foundations of ceramics while building confidence, patience and their individual creative expression.
No previous pottery experience is needed.
How the 6-Class Pass works
Purchase the pass online and choose six Monday sessions that suit your schedule.
After purchasing, you will receive a confirmation email with your personal booking code and a link to the private class calendar. You can use this link to reserve your six sessions.
The pass is valid for three months from the date of purchase. All sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

What will the children explore?
Over the six sessions, children discover different aspects of working with clay:
Pinching, coiling and slab-building techniques
Creating figures, vessels and small sculptures
Experimenting with coloured clay, slips, textures and glazes
Working with porcelain, depending on the project
Developing and completing their own ideas
A playful introduction to the pottery wheel
The programme is adapted to the age, pace and interests of the group. The pottery wheel is part of the exploration, but it is not the main focus of the course.
Pottery takes time
Creating ceramics involves several steps: shaping, drying, firing, glazing and firing again.
Attending several sessions gives children time to explore different techniques and experience the complete ceramic process. Some pieces can be completed in one afternoon, while others are developed over several sessions.
What is included?
Six sessions of two hours each
Personal guidance in a small group
Clay and, depending on the project, porcelain
Colours, slips and glazes
Use of all studio tools and pottery wheels
Storage of projects between sessions
Firing costs for up to 2 kg of finished ceramics
If a child creates especially large or numerous pieces, additional finished ceramics are charged at CHF 30 per kg.

No specific language level is required. The course is taught primarily in English, but we can explain and support children in German whenever needed.

With the flexible 6-Class Pass, your child can choose any six available Mondays. If you need to change a booked session, please use the rescheduling link in the confirmation email. Late cancellations and no-shows may count as one of the six sessions.

After the final session, the pieces still need time to dry, be glazed and fired. They are usually ready for collection at the studio approximately three to four weeks later.

Comfortable clothes that can get a little clay or colour on them. We provide aprons, tools and all necessary materials.

Each 6-Class Pass is valid for one child and cannot be shared.
